About HAHP

The Hawaii Association of Health Plans is a statewide partnership that unifies Hawaii's state licensed health plans. Our member organizations include AlohaCare, Hawaii Medical Assurance Association (HMAA), Hawaii Medical Service Association (HMSA), Hawaii Western Management Group (HWMG), Kaiser Permanente, MDX Hawaii, ‘Ohana Health Plan, United Healthcare (UHC), and University Health Alliance (UHA). A majority of Hawaii residents receive their health coverage through a plan associated with one of these HAHP organizations.

Our nine member organizations together in calendar year 2010 had revenues of $3.6 billion and local assets of $1.2 billion. Local governance was provided by 60 different Hawaii residents serving on our Boards of Directors. Our organizations provide health care benefits to over 1 million Hawaii resident members and employ almost 7,000 people.

All HAHP members strongly support, and believe in the integrity of the association's mission statementvalues and code of conduct.
